I was interviewed this past week on "The Booster Pack" by Terry Bartley - a local Clark Kent-type who runs a blog/news site with a proper Justice League that describes itself as "A Variety Pack of All Things Geeky." Covering everything from comics, to cons, to movies, and Magic, and more, I had the pleasure of having a short conversation with Terry about "Calamity Cash & The Town with No Name," where the idea came from, what our distribution model has been like, and all the support we've gotten along the way. It's a only a little over 20 minutes long, and well worth a listen, if I can say so myself.

"Calamity Cash & The Town with No Name" - Second Printing!

The first print run of "Calamity Cash & the Town with No Name" has sold out! While I'm not going to say it's impossible, if you were looking to get a first run copy of the comic, you're more or less out of luck. But don't worry - that doesn't mean you still can't buy your own issue of "Calamity Cash" - they're still on sale, as we gear up for our second print run, and a couple of exciting things on the horizon.

Can't begin to tell you how thankful, and excited I am about this. The honest fact is, I never truly expected these to sell in any real sense, and the fact that I've run through all of my stock really gives me a charge - and makes me realize I have some very good, very generous friends. There's no overstating how grateful the whole Calamity Cash team is right now.

You may have noticed a few changes to The Mojo Wire too. The first printing of "Calamity Cash & The Town with No Name" has almost sold out. Almost! If you haven't gotten a copy of the comic yet, but are planning to buy one, now would be the time. Now, there are a few things in the works which make a second printing pretty likely. However, this first run was specially-priced, and once we have to print more the price will go up - by about a dollar an issue. This is to recoup shipping and handling from the printer to us, and then from us to you. Totally unavoidable, or we'd continue to offer the $4.50 introductory price from here on out. My apologies, for sure.

Also! This week, I joined Sarah Crow again on her Spreecast Channel, where we had the second Breaking Bad Midnight Show for this week's episode - "Buy Out." These have went really well, and will likely be a regular thing until the end of the series - meaning two more this season, and maybe a bunch next year as things begin to wind down. If you watch the show first run, it's a lot of fun to get in on [if I can say without flattering myself], and a Breaking Bad dead-pool is starting to take shape...

Orders have been much higher than expected, and I've even gotten some pictures of happy customers with the book, which just... its hard to describe seeing friends both near and far hanging out with your work in their hand. Damn Facebook generation...].

And since it's Wednesday night, and hopefully you should all be spoiler-free by now, I joined Sarah Crow on her Spreecast channel this past Sunday for "The Breaking Bad Midnight Show" - just a fun hour or so of me and Sarah re-capping, dissecting, and generally geeking out about the best show on television - you guessed it, AMC's "Breaking Bad." It was an absolutely blast, and looks like it could become a weekly thing, at least for the rest of the season, as we wind down to the very end of the meth-making fantasia of Walt and Jesse in Arizona.

Not to pat myself on the back, but it's really the kind of fandom I really love - just two people talking about something they've gotten invested in. I hope you'll check it out, check out Sarah's other Spreecasts [a few of which always feature me], and maybe join us if we do another this Sunday.

I want to start off by saying thank you for everyone who has ordered "Calamity Cash & The Town with No Name." When Justin, Laura, and I started off, we never really expected to sell any of these, and now have quite a few orders to fulfill - but we're not out yet. For your $4.50 you'll get a copy of the 25-page comic "Calamity Cash & The Town with No Name," the long-collaboration between Justin Cornell, Randall Nichols, and Laura Calandros. The book will be signed by the writer [Randall], and the artist [Justin], and then placed in a Golden Age-style comic book bag with a cardboard back and safely mailed to you.
